Sátão is a Portuguese village in the district of Viseu, located in the province of Beira Alta, in the Centro region (Beiras Region) and sub-region Viseu Dão-Lafões, with about 4 000 inhabitants.

It is the seat of a municipality with an area of ??201.94 km² and 12 444 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 9 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipalities of Moimenta da Beira and Sernancelhe, to the east by Aguiar da Beira, to the south by Penalva do Castelo, to the west by Viseu and to the northwest by Vila Nova de Paiva.
