Temple of late Gothic style, built by order of D. Manuel I on the previous chapel of the same evocation. It was completed in the early 16th century.
Praça da República 2300-550
Tomar
The symbolic of D, Manuel (Royal Coat of Arms, Esfera Armilar and Cruz de Cristo) is present in the tower and is repeated in the pulpit and in the West and North portals.
Outside, the three-body tower, the main portal, the northern portal and the southern portal stand out, a credible memory of a primitive temple.
The spatial structure of the naves is identical to that of the church of Santa Maria do Olival, enriched by the pulpit of carved stone and 16th century painting, the highest exponent of 16th century Portuguese pictorial art.
