The Church of Nossa Senhora da Graça, or Nossa Senhora da Cadeia, is commonly known as Misericórdia. It is a mannerist construction built in the second half of the 16th century.
The image of the patroness fills the niche that finishes the elegant Quinhentista portico. The nave is decorated by rectangular stone frames and stucco tiles. Highlight for the Eucharistic Miracle of Santo António, in a 16th century panel.
The Hospital replaced that of Nossa Senhora da Graça (15th century) resulting from the henriquine unification of all hospitals and hospices that existed in the Vila.
