Almeirim is a designation of origin where the traditional varieties most suitable are Arinto, Fernão Pires, Tália and Trincadeira das Pratas for whites and Periquita and Trincadeira Preta for reds and rosés.

The DOC appellation covers white, red, rosé (Ribatejo Regional Wines), liqueur (VLQPRD) and sparkling (VEQPRD) wines.
