Praça de Touros de Almeirim
Always with great bullfighting traditions, Almeirim saw the construction of a bull ring in wood with a capacity for 3000 people on land belonging to Quinta da Alorna. Opened on October 22, 1938, it was the scene of several races, demolished later to make way for a modern building with excellent conditions not only for the artists but also for the passionate public.

Description
As part of the cultural heritage of our land, the bullring as we know it today was inaugurated on May 16, 1954 at the initiative of several affectionate people from Portugal, represented by Manuel Laudácias, D. Luis de Margaride and Teodoro Prudêncio da Silva Santos, with capacity. for 6700 viewers. The project was in charge of the architect António Mendes and the construction of the engineer Manuel José Baptista.
Under the benches were created 12 commercial spaces with terraces around them and the new Municipal Tourism Office, where the public toilets serving the area are also located.
Arena D´Almeirim is also a place for multipurpose shows, where bullfights such as concerts, fairs, festivals, as well as other types of events can take place.
