Almeirim
This church is of sober construction, presenting a single nave, without vaults, and the wooden ceiling with three planes and painted stucco. Its façade is simple, ending in a curved pediment with Baroque characteristics. It features a stone bas-relief over the main door. It boasts a single bell tower. In its sober interior, the choir, made of wood, stands out. The façade follows the sober Baroque style, with the curved pediment and two small pinnacles, topped by an iron cross.
It is located in the north of the city, in front of Largo da Igreja, where João César Henriques street ends. This street had its initial designation as Church Street, and its name was changed in the first half of the 20th century, changing to Rua Dr. João César Henriques, a municipal physician from 1876 to 1906, who donated goods for the creation of a Hospital in the then village.
