Alcanena is a Portuguese village that belongs to the district of Santarém, in the province of Ribatejo, region of the Center (NUTS II) and sub-region of the Middle Tejo (NUTS III), with about 4 100 inhabitants.
It is the seat of a municipality with 127.33 km² in area and 13 868 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 7 parishes.
