Ponte da Arrábida

It is the last of the bridges before Foz do Douro. Engineer Edgar Cardoso managed, on June 22, 1963, to surprise the world. The deck is supported by an arch with a span of 270 meters. At the time of its inauguration, it was the largest reinforced concrete arch in the world. It is still today the main road crossing over the Douro River. Source: https://www.cm-gaia.pt/
