Solar dos Condes de Resende

Former manor house of the Admirals of Portugal, here Eça de Queiroz, one of the most famous Portuguese writers, fell in love with one of the holders' daughters, with whom he would marry. In addition to the Condes de Resende Archive, the house also has a Documentation Center on Archeology, History, Anthropology and Heritage and a Museum Center with the Marciano Azuaga Collection, donated to the municipality in 1904 and exposed, by nuclei, in temporary exhibitions.
