The Bom Jesus de Gaia Church, also known since the 19th century as the chapel of Nª Sª da Bonança, is located at Rua Viterbo de Campos, in the Castelo do Gaia Place. Located in a village of remote antiquity, confirmed by archaeological excavations, it is a church of ancient invocation, which has undergone works over time, having been enlarged and enlarged several times since the Middle Ages.

The church consists of two simple bodies, to which the sacristy is attached to the south and the bell tower to the north. The main body is separated from the chancel by the triumphal arch, probably redone in the 19th century. XIX.
