Quinta da Caverneira, mansion built at the beginning of the century. XIX. Traditional “Casa de brasileiro” by Maia, with central turret, casa da eira, threshing floor, gardens and cultivation area. Heritage requalified by the municipality in 2002, it currently functions as a cultural center.

Description

Quinta da Caverneira is located on a high ground, from where you can enjoy a wide view of the Serra de Agrela a Nascente and over the valley of Leça a Poente. This river, born in the said mountain range, physical barrier to the penetration into the masses of the humid Atlantic air, which here convert into river waters and for the aforementioned water course converge.
