Parque de Avioso
The Avioso Park - S. Pedro, in the parish of Castêlo da Maia, has a size of about 30 hectares and has 4.5 km of nature trails. Its location favors access, either by individual transport, through National Roads no. 14 and no. 318, or by public transport, such as Metro do Porto.

Description
The Parque de Avioso - S. Pedro develops on a land of about 30 hectares, in which several spaces and buildings are articulated and encloses in its interior the source of the Ribeira de Avioso that, together with other water lines, forms the Ribeira do Arquinho, the largest tributary of the Leça River.
Thus, this Park, which is inserted in the green corridor of Arquinho - one of the strategic corridors of the Municipal Ecological Structure, which runs longitudinally across the County - is part of a network of Municipal Parks, each with specific characteristics, which allows, in the as a whole, the offer of a diverse range of recreational, information and environmental education situations.
The concept of the Park aims to create a leisure and informal sport zone, in which several other activities of more continuous support can be integrated. Among these, environmental education stands out, through the creation of educational elements and support for activities such as interpretation, nature camps or basic environmental training.
The Park's infrastructures include, among others, the restaurant, the cafeteria, a store, the auditorium, the kitchen, the changing rooms, the watchtowers, the rest spaces, the picnic area, the beach volleyball courts, the playground, lawn and water mirror.
In the place can also be found hiking trails totaling 4.5 km in length, with three interpretative routes of short route and low degree of intensity: Route of the Tower; Forest Route; Route of the Ribeira. Through the bike paths, you can also enjoy the park with bicycle.
