The 108-meter-high waterfall, topped by the Chapel of Santo Ovídio dating from the 18th century, which celebrates its feast on the last Sunday in August, was a fortress. On this hill there is a granite cruise that dates from 1773 and has a panoramic view to the north of the places of Ferreiró and Senhora de Agonia (Santa Maria de Avioso), the source of Cidadelha (Santa Maria de Avioso), and the west S. Pedro de Avioso and Gemunde.
