It is a stone path that leads to the Church of São Domingos. Side by side with the Convent of São Gonçalo, it was built in 1725 by the Third Order of São Domingos to dedicate a place to Nosso Senhor dos Aflitos, whose image embellishes the interior of the monument.

The façade - in Baroque style - draws our attention due to the Dominican weapons topped by the tympanum, but it is the sumptuous decoration with gilded woodwork, inside, that illuminates our eyes.
The image of the Crucified Christ - Our Lord of the Afflicted - in polychrome paper, alongside Our Lady, St. John the Evangelist and St. Mary Magdalene (in gold and polychrome wood) frame the main altar.
Also highlighted are two seraphim-tortoises (from the 18th century) flanking the arch that delimits the chancel.
Adjoining the church, there is another space that deserves a careful visit: the Museum of Sacred Art.
