The papal miter with the cross of three transversal arms, of decreasing sizes, at the top of the tower of the Church of São Pedro, is one of the greatest appeals of the building to our eyes. The same can be said of the two balustrade levels - also in the tower -, topped with images of São Pedro and São Paulo. The facade is dominated by the Baroque style.

Inside the monument, the protagonist is from the roof of the sacristy. Covered in wood carving, it has a natural color and is, in artistic terms, one of the best in the country. Golden carvings embellish the main altar, inside a single basement - covered by a stucco vault and covered with tiles at the base.
São Mateus, São Marcos, São Lucas and São João embody the evangelists in the main altar, while in the side chapels we see São Martinho and Nossa Senhora da Conceição.
Built on the site of the old chapel of São Martinho, the Church of São Pedro was completed in 1727.
