Formerly the site of a female monastery, the Church of Santa Maria de Gondar, was - so it is believed - founded by an individual of the Gundares lineage. The small building is another testament to late Romanesque. Built in the 13th century, it was secularized by the then archbishop of Braga, D. Fernando da Guerra.
