Description Arronches

Raiano municipality, Arronches is distributed over a surface with an area of 346.56 square kilometers. It comprises three parishes: Asunción, Esperança and Mosteiros.

Located between Monforte, Portalegre, Elvas and Spain, the parish of the headquarters is 25 kilometers from the capital of the district, the city of Portalegre.

The parishes of Esperança and Mosteiros are respectively 9 and 6 kilometers from the county seat. Of these two, the first extends to the border with Spain and is an integral part of the area protected by the Natural Park of S. Mamede. The second also has part of its area included in the same park.
