This garden has more than 60 species of indigenous Madeiran flora and was created in 1989 by the Clube de Ecologia Barbusano, with the support of the "Worldwide Fund for Nature".
The garden is in a place accessible to the public and in it grow many of the species of the Laurissilva Forest and some others typical of the cliffs near the seaside.
It occupies an area of 2,200 m2 and makes visitors aware of part of Madeira's valuable botanical heritage.
