The Santa Cruz Municipal Market, opened on July 20, 1962, is the only agricultural market in this parish. This space that is better known as Mercado da Vila, in addition to being an agricultural market, is also a fish square.
Its construction, which dates from the second half of the 20th century, is of modernist architecture and has a rectangular plan. One of the wider facades has the upper third decorated by grills and the portal, protected by a visor, flanked by panels of polychrome tiles, of figurative composition, topped by square windows.
