Santa Cruz covers an extensive strip of sand divided into several beaches named in honor of the respective cafés with the Beaches of Navio, Mirante, Pisão, Physics, Center, Santa Helena, Formosa and Azul. The purity of the waters and sand here goes beyond the surrounding picturesque landscapes and ensures that Santa Cruz is a highly popular tourist resort.

In the extreme south, the cliffs of Ponta da Vigia form a series of rocky outcrops, among which the Penedo do Guincho rock, 30 meters high and about 100 meters in circumference, is particularly impressive, as it leads to a vaulted area into which the sea pours. The marking of these rocky surfaces is a unique set of terraces from which, on clear days, it is possible to enjoy panoramic views that extend up to the Cabo Carvoeiro lighthouse and the Berlengas islands.

With a variety of support facilities, including a swimming pool and an Olympic shooting range, the seasonal variety of entertainment offered here is complemented by tourist flights operating outside the local airfield and events and concerts.
