Taberna Do Areal
Taberna do Areal is a typical neighborhood tavern located in Alenquer in the Historic District of Areal. It has 24 seats, and a typical and cozy terrace with 36 seats. Our cuisine is inspired by Iberian flavors, focusing on Iberian hams and sausages, traditional cheeses, a varied list of tapas, meats and selected fish grilled over charcoal. Every day our customer has at his disposal a dish of the day that coincides with the time of year.

Taberna do Areal is a reference house in wines. Our wines are served in appropriate glasses and at the correct temperatures. In mature wines, our offer is exclusively wines from Alenquer (Lisbon), where you can find more than 15 producing estates in the Municipality. You can ask for information about carrying out a WINE TOUR.
After tasting our excellent homemade sweets, you will have at your disposal an extraordinary list of Port Wines. Among Ruby`s, LBV`s, Vintage`s and Tawny`s you will find several options from the best Quintas in the Douro.
