The Academic Association of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, is the representative structure of all students of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, is the association of students of the newest higher education of the country, with a history that in 2015, 21 years.

The foundation of the first Association of Students, AEIPCA took place on November 21, 1996, after approval of its statutes in RGA, taking office its first direction on December 19, 1996, becoming legal entity on May 20, 1997 , at the time of publication of its statutes in the III Series of the Diário da Republica.

On May 28, 2015, the Association of Students of the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave, was renamed the Academic Association of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (AAIPCA). A new Association with new colors, but with the same goals and mission.

The AAIPCA is headquartered at the entrance of the IPCA Campus, in Vila Frescaínha São Martinho - Barcelos.

The AAIPCA is already a consolidated Association, both internally and externally.

It has played an active role in educational policy.

 

Are your goals:

- Equip AAIPCA with the means necessary for the good performance of the associative activity;

- Promote activities that encourage human contact;

- Carrying out the Burning of Ribbons and Receiving the Caloiro;

- Encourage respect for Academic Traditions;

- Cooperate with existing groups and encourage the emergence of new groups;

- Support activities developed by the courses;

 

To promote cultural activities;

- Maintain and participate actively in matters related to the educational policy;

- Cooperate with existing Associations and Institutions;

Tireless fight for the interests of the students;

- Over the years the AE has suffered ups and downs, now with AA we intend to continue working for the students, always marking presence in the three Campus Schools (ESG, EST and ESD).

We are always available to help all the students who ask for our help, and we simultaneously find ourselves in a demand to offer students a representation and demand for their needs.

We're here. And we'll be there whenever you need.

Mission of AAIPCA

Our mission is to offer a set of services that improve the quality of teaching:

Promoting and developing activities for and with the students, through the organization and monitoring of sporting modalities, cultural and recreational events, support services for displaced students and fellows, accommodation offers, protocols, social room, etc ...

Providing the best conditions for scientific, sporting, social and cultural development;

Defending the interests, rights and prerogatives of all students, as well as ensuring the dignity, prestige and value of them.
