THE HISTORY OF STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Viana do Castelo Academic Association was constituted to represent the students of the High Schools integrated in the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo [IPVC], also having other purposes. It ceased its activities in 1998, passing then some functions to be carried out by the Associations of Students of each School, as for example the Queima das Fitas.

ESEVC STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Association of Students of the Higher Education School of Viana do Castelo [AE - ESE], integrated in the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo [IPVC], in functions since May of this year, is made up of a group of students from this very heterogeneous school - with different backgrounds, different life experiences, attending different courses with a view to different professional achievements and with different objectives and
perspectives of life - who have joined here and formed a group that intends to build new projects, create innovative activities, intervene in the defense of students' rights ... to be the voice of all students at school!
In order for all elements of the School Community to contribute to ensure that all programmed activities are a growing success, we have established a timetable for attendance, in which members of the Association will always be present in order to provide all the information required and / or receive suggestions for new activities and projects.

At present, we can count on the following ongoing projects:

Theater (theater group - Teatro Pirâmide - constituted by a group of students of the School, in operation since the beginning of the current school year);
TUESE - monthly presentation of a page in the local newspaper Local Square;
Creation of the Association's website, so that the whole School Community can be constantly updated about the activities carried out and promoted by the Association of Students - either independently or interdependently - for the benefit of the students and the School.
Realization of Saraus, Tertulias and Conferences.

DEPARTMENTS

The Student Association consists of seven departments: Sports, Cultural, Recreation, Cooperation, Disclosure, Pedagogical and Logistic.
The departments elaborate projects within the annual activity plan of the Student Association.
