Vila Flor, a place with a secular history and a rich and vast past, is situated at more than five hundred meters of altitude, extending over a total area of about 32 Km2. Of the natural beauty of the parish, the vineyards and olive groves stand out, as well as the fraguedos sprinkled by small branches of giesta, heather and rosemary.
Foundation dates back to the 11th century, after the decline of the Moorish invasions and the beginning of the real policy of repopulating the territory. The religious and manor built heritage, the landscapes and natural places of rare beauty, make the parish of Vila Flor offer several points of interest worthy of visit. This is the case of the famous Roman Fountain, ancient Fountain of the well, a sixteenth-century fountain with four pillars and six Ionic columns that support a brick dome.
