Description Alfandega da Fé

Located in the Transmontano Northeast, in the Transition Zone of Terra Fria to Terra Quente Transmontana, with about 5 thousand inhabitants, the county is currently composed of 12 parishes distributed along 321.95 Km2, in a landscape diversity that alternates between the 400 and the 1200 meters of altitude. The Serra de Bornes or Serra de Monte Mel, as formerly designated, always remained as the faithful guardian of this territory. From the top of its 1200m there is a perspective of the whole county. A territory that nature has so well shaped, made fertile ground by the experienced hands of men and women who have always made the earth their livelihood.
