Belonging to the parish of Campos, land of transition between Minho and Trás-os-Montes, Campos is a typical rural village located on the northern slope of Serra da Cabreira, at an altitude of about 820 meters. This village, certified as Aldeia de Portugal, occupies an area of 1313 hectares and is inhabited by about 95 inhabitants, the majority of whom are of advanced age.

This location boasts a heritage legacy and a scenic setting that will impress any visitor. The “Oven of the People”, the numerous granaries and the mill bear witness to a past deeply marked by communitarianism and subsistence agriculture. The village lived a prosperous period when exploring wolfram during World War II. Some vestiges of this golden age are still visible today.
