Residencial Ribeiro is located right in the center of the small village of Gerês, in the heart of the Peneda Gerês National Park.
The Peneda Gerês National Park is the only National Park of Portugal and is located in the extreme northeast of the Minho, bordering Galicia and covering a total area of about 72,000 hectares.
It is one of the largest natural attractions in Portugal, due to the rare and impressive landscape beauty (innumerable viewpoints and natural lagoons) and ecological value and variety of fauna (deer, wild horses, wolves, birds of prey) and flora (pines, yews, , oaks and various medicinal plants). It extends from the mountain of the Gerês, to the South, passing by the mountain range of Peneda until the border with Spain.
