In the heart of Minho, in Amares, in the parish of Goães, is the ‘Carias’. In the hands of Manuela Carias for 20 years, this familiar and welcoming space attracts lovers of traditional cuisine from all over the country. A typically traditional restaurant where the quality of the meat is the secret of the Carias Restaurant's success, and of course, the love they devote in their cooking.

In the kitchen, the inspiration of the Carias Restaurant is tradition and the objective is “to always do better”. From this desire to make known the best flavors of the region, Manuel Carias presents a menu “varied, but always within the traditional and regional”.
The most emblematic dishes of the house are the codfish à Carias, the roasted codfish, the kid in the wood oven, the roasted veal and the sauté à mirandesa. From October to May, the highlight is mainly on the famous sarrabulho porridge of ‘Carias’.
