Oliveira do Bairro is a municipality located in the Central Region of Portugal, belonging to the district of Aveiro. It is limited to the north by the municipality of Aveiro, to the northeast by that of Águeda, the southeast by that of Anadia, to the south by that of Cantanhede and to the west by that of Vagos. The Municipality occupies 86, Km2, distributed over four parishes: Oiã, Oliveira do Bairro, Palhaça and União das Freguesia de Bustos, Troviscal and Mamarrosa.

From the Quartel das Artes, one of the best cultural facilities in the central region, Radiolândia - Museu do Rádio, with a museum collection of international quality and dimension, and the Bairrada Ethnomusic Museum, which houses important collections related to Bairradian music, sacred art from the council's churches, passing through the natural beauty of the riverside parks and the rice fields.

The wine industry is the best known agricultural activity in the municipality, with the production of typical Bairrada wine, but it is not the only one. In recent years, Kiwi culture has taken on particular importance.
