The temple was completely restored in the 19th century, with the previous building dating from the 17th century. From that time, some elements were preserved, such as the baptismal font, the main door, among others.

Almost all wooden sculptures date back to the 17th century, although the painting has been restored.
The property has a façade covered with tiles, with two panels featuring evangelical scenes; a domed bell tower and a niche with the limestone sculpture of S. Tomé, dating from the 17th century, to crown the ensemble.
