Description: The Ermelo Ecovia is a type of route for bicycles with a distance of 5.2 km. The main section, near the foothills of the Serra do Mezio, runs northwest through several brooks and streams with fast currents that feed the Albufeira de Touvedo. As you approach Ermelo, you will notice the first signs of cultivation and small terraces, vineyards and olive groves. The orange trees border the road and already in Ermelo, you can find them everywhere. In the village of Ermelo (4.6 kms) it is well worth going up to the church. During the course, you can observe the existing urban features, such as the Castelinho Leisure Park, with the existing equipment, such as the Aquamuseu of Rio Minho, play equipment, children's playground and also the rural characteristics in which it is evident the vegetation that accompanies the river, agricultural activities and fishing.
