Description: The Ermelo Ecovia is a type of route for bicycles with a distance of 5.2 km. The main section, near the foothills of the Serra do Mezio, runs northwest through several brooks and streams with fast currents that feed the Albufeira de Touvedo. As you approach Ermelo, you will notice the first signs of cultivation and small terraces, vineyards and olive groves. The orange trees border the road and already in Ermelo, you can find them everywhere. In the village of Ermelo (4.6 kms) it is well worth going up to the church. It is a shared route with the pedestrians, duly identified with vertical signaling and delimited of the road by the curb of the walk and yellow floor. It enjoys public lighting throughout its length.
